What you are buying
Each figure is an ERC-721 token on Base linked to a 3D artwork and its metadata. Owning it lets you display, transfer and resell that token. It does not give you copyright in the character, a share of HOKORA, or any claim to revenue.
Licence and copies
HOKORA keeps the copyright in every character, design and 3D file. While you hold a figure you may display its artwork for personal, non-commercial use: in your vault, on marketplaces, and on your own social profiles. Using the art commercially (merchandise, prints for sale, games, adverts) needs our written permission.
Anyone can screenshot or save a picture of a figure; that never makes them its owner. The owner is whoever the HOKORA contract on Base records, and only tokens from that contract are HOKORA figures. To report a copy sold as a HOKORA figure, or our art used without permission, email rohandeepbansal@gmail.com with a link.
Payments
You pay in USDC from your own wallet, plus a small network fee in ETH on Base. The contract sends the exact price straight to HOKORA's treasury, and asks your wallet to approve only that amount. HOKORA never holds your funds or your keys. Mints are final once confirmed on Base; we cannot reverse a transaction.
Risks
- No guaranteed value. A figure may be worth less than you paid, or nothing. Past sale prices shown on certificates are records, not forecasts.
- Your wallet, your keys. If you lose access to your wallet, nobody can recover the figures in it.
- Networks and marketplaces. Base, wallets and marketplaces are run by others and can fail, change their fees, or delist items.
- Royalties. A 7.5% creator royalty is set on resales using ERC-2981. Some marketplaces do not enforce it.
- Law can change. Rules on digital assets differ by country and are changing.
Tax
Any tax on a sale is the seller's responsibility. In India, gains on virtual digital assets are taxed at 30% and a 1% TDS can apply on transfers. Ask a tax adviser about your own situation.
What we do not offer
No packs, blind draws of figures, staking, wagers or games played for money. You always choose the figure, the edition and its four decorators, and you see them before you pay; each decorator build exists once per figure and edition. Only the scene inside the case is revealed after minting; it is generated with equal odds and carries no rarity trait.
