Original spirits only
Every HOKORA character is our own design. We draw on old folklore for archetypes, never on anime, manga or games.
Folklore is shared; designs are not
Kitsune, tengu, kappa, oni and Momotaro come from centuries-old Japanese folklore that belongs to everyone. Modern designs of those figures, in a particular anime or game, belong to their creators. We use the archetype and draw everything else ourselves: name, look, colours and story.

If you see a problem
If you believe a HOKORA design copies someone else's work, tell us and we will review it. We would rather pull a figure than ship one that is not ours.
